One of my favorite areas is Portland's South Waterfront. Portland's South Waterfront developed in the early 2000s, where I worked on the original sales team. It is now a gleaming and bustling neighborhood. Glass towers soar high above the Willamette River offering spectacular views of the Cascade Mountains, West Hills, and urban landscapes. South Waterfront "close-in" with easy access to the center city by tram. The neighborhood includes Portland's Greenway park along the river and Elizabeth Caruthers park where the farmers market is hosted. The neighborhood features many great lunch spots servicing the busy OHSU complex. This neighborhood is known as the Pearl District's quieter sister neighborhood. Usually people like one neighborhood over the other. South Waterfront is a great place to own a Portland Condo.
